First, play a short speaker test. It needs no voice download or microphone. This also resets MAX-ALPHA’s audio connection after a call or screen lock.
Turn up your media volume, then tap Play speaker test.
- If the tone is silent, check media volume and the audio destination in iPhone Control Center. Sound may be going to Bluetooth headphones or another device.
- Turn off Silent Mode if needed, keep MAX-ALPHA visible, and try the speaker test again.
- If the tone works but speech does not, watch the voice status above. The natural voice downloads separately on each device; its first preparation can take a few minutes.
Your iPhone has its own voice settings and downloads. A cloned voice needs the paired Mac companion; it does not automatically follow you to your phone.
Voice Studio also offers installed local system voices if this device cannot prepare a natural voice. No cloud voice service is used.
